Since ice shaver is not commonly available at home, this recipe replaces shaved ice with ice cubes, thus it is named Cendol Drink instead of Cendol Ice.
There is a widespread belief that the name cendol originated from the word jendol (bump), in reference to the swollen green worm-like rice flour jelly.
However, the origin of cendol is not clear.
Bahan Membuat Homemade CENDOL
- 1 Bungkus Konyaku Jelly (10 gr)/ Nutrijell plain.
- 100 gr Tepung Sagu.
- 25 gr Tepung Beras.
- 2 Sdm Gula pasir.
- 1/2 Sdt Garam.
- 750 ml Air Jus Pandan (10 Lembar+750 ml Air).
- Sedikit pewarna hijau pandan (Optional).
- Secukupnya Air Es+ Es Batu (untuk merendam Cendol).
Langkah Memasak Homemade CENDOL
- Siapkan semua bahan.
- Masukkan Kedalam Kuali Anti lengket. Tepung Sagu, tepung beras, serbuk Konyaku Jelly/Nutrijell,gula pasir dan garam, Aduk rata dengan wisk..
- Tuangkan Jus Pandan yang telah disaring, Aduk Sampai betul-betul rata (cara mudah,Masukan Kedalam blender, blend Sampai Halus, tuangkan kembali kedalam kuali)..
- Masak adonan CENDOL, dengan api kecil, Sambil terus di Aduk sampai adonan menjadi berat, kental, dan mengkilat, masak sampai Meletup letup. Angkat dan Masukkan adonan Kedalam Piping bag,gunting sedikit ujungnya..
- Siapkan Air Es dengan Es batu dalam mangkok besar/Baskom..
- Lapis dengan kain (KARENA PANAS π), keluarkan adonan dengan cara di pencet, pencetkan adonan CENDOL di atas air Es. Buat Sampai habis.π Tengok Cantik kanπ. Simpan CENDOL Yang dah siap dengan air Es sekali, Masukkan Kedalam bekas/Tupperware, simpan di dalam kulkas, supaya bertahan lama..

I like mine long and slender. The name cendol is a little confusing. In Java, where it is purported that cendol came from, the term cendol refers to the green worm-shaped starch jellies. A dessert with the green jellies, coconut milk and palm sugar is known as dawet. However, in Malaysia/Brunei, cendol refers to the actual dessert as a whole.
